Quite a few of us suffer from back pain. It makes everything seem harder to do and we just can't enjoy the things we want to do.
Numerous things can cause back pain. The cause could be weak muscles, a dislocated disc or even stress. All you know is when you have it you want relief, and you want it right now.
Some people have even resorted to surgery. If you are considering that route then please do your homework. Surgery should be your last resort in most cases.
There are many natural and alternative methods to gain relief from back pain. Here are a few options to try that may give you remarkable results.
Creams
Creams may help for minor sore backs. They often contain ingredients such as salicylate, capsacin and menthol. This could help if your pain is from strained or tense muscles.
Heating Pads
Heating pads are very popular for back pain relief. They seem to soothe away pain caused by tension in the muscles also. They do keep you from doing activities though since you are usually confined to a chair or couch.
Exercise
Even though the thought of exercise seems like too much pain to endure, it is actually a good remedy for your back.
Of course it's better to exercise and stay in shape before you get back pain. One way that exercise helps is by strengthening your muscles, especially around your abdomen area.
Medicine
You could take Ibuprofen and other inflammatory drugs, but these are drugs with side effects so don't abuse them. If you do need them, use common sense.
There are two alternative techniques that are generally very safe and may provide great relief. These are Acupuncture and Chiropractic.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a Chinese therapy of using very thin needles. These are positioned at specific meridian points throughout the body. There are certain points on the body that correspond with the area that you are treating.
Acupuncture is a tremendous tool that has given relief to many. This includes high blood pressure, bad habits such as smoking and relief for back problems.
Chiropractic
A Chiropractor can also give relief from back pain. They can adjust your spine and could give instantaneous relief in some cases. If you don't like the idea of someone popping your joints back into place then look for a chiropractor that uses a computer controlled device. It is something like a mini jackhammer. This device is very accurate in finding where the problem areas are and then adjusting them.
A few more options you could explore are magnets and yoga. Just remember there is relief. You will have to find out what works best for you.
